Support LoveYourself HIV Testing Day
LoveYourself once again brings free HIV testing to an accessible location as a supplement to its two existing clinics, Anglo along Shaw, and Hub in Malate. LoveYourself has decided to hold a free HIV testing day at the northern part of the metropolis as it understands that not everyone can readily go to the two clinics mentioned.

With a message of "Ito ang #TamangPanahon #HIVTestingDay" and against the backdrop of figures describing the dire status of the HIV epidemic in the country,  LoveYourself wishes to impart to everyone that knowing your HIV status has never been more timely than right now

This event is the second free HIV testing day held by LoveYourself following the Finally event in Maycontinuing its mission to raise awareness of one's own HIV status and to inculcate self-worth and care for oneself. The organization has been at the front lines of the fight against the rise of HIV cases in the country.

The month of September 2015 alone has seen 692 cases, of which 45 were AIDS cases. This figure is a staggering 22.5% increase from September 2014 which saw 565 HIV cases. As of 2008, approximately 1 Filipino caught the HIV virus daily. This figure has now risen by more than 2000%, as 22 Filipinos catch the HIV virus daily. MSM's or men who have sex with men accounted for 87% of the 692 cases seen for the month of September 2015.

It is LoveYourself's firm belief that knowing one's status empowers oneself and creates ripples of positive change that engage and benefit the community.  So please mark your calendars, and take the bold step to get tested for yourself, and for your community!
